 Here is my honest review for The Stolen Child by Alex Coombs: I was surprised to find out that this has already been published years ago under a different name. I thought it was a new release book. That been said is was pretty fast paced. I finished it in about 4 hours.  The writing was very good. I really liked the main character too.  Solid 4 star read. Thank you Netgalley for the EArc.

 I was given an eARC of Song of the Sandman by J-F. Dubeau. I read this book Jan 13-14 2020.  Here is my honest review: Was very confused for most of the book. It wasn't until I was about halfway thru that I decided to look up this book on Goodreads and that was when I found out it was a sequel. Should have said that somewhere so that people would know. I did finish this book but because I did not read the first book I didnt really get the plot. That being said the writing was fantastic and I did love the premise. So overall I gave this book a 3.5 for the writing and premise alone.

 I was given an EARC for this book and this is my honest review: This book was very compelling and fast paced. The short chapters were full of intrigue. I ended up staying up late to read it. Ended up reading all of this book in one sitting trying to figure out who was in the house. I thought I knew what was going on but the twists really got me.  Solid 4 star read.

 Started this book on Nov 10 2020 and DNFd it on Nov 13 2020. The premise sounded good but once I started reading I had a problem with it. I am pretty sure it is just me but I didn't like how many POVs there were in this book. It was hard to keep track of what was going on. I got about 150 pages and just couldn't continue because I was completely lost. I feel bad not finishing the book but I have other ARCs and books I need to finish this month so just don't have the time to try to finish it. I keep having to go back and reread pages which was making this book take forever. 

 I finally finished the rest of the book and I have to say it didn't get much better. Not sure if this was because it was a review copy that I sent to my kindle and it wasn't formatted right or if it was the actually content of the book. I am leaning more towards it being because of the fact that I have never read an Arc before so I wasn't ready for the formatting to be off so much.  I did like most of the content of this book. Out of the 5 segments I would have to say my least favorite was the first one and my favorite was the last one. All the ones in between were ok.  I can say that the writer of this book Sue Coletta did do her research and even tho I have read up on all of these cases online and have seen true crime shows where they were featured there was some information in this book that I had never heard about before. That bumps up my star rating a little. All in all this book was pretty good and well written. 

 As usually I am fading really hard at about 21 hours in. I think I might have to stop at 5am instead of 8am. I can hardly keep my eyes open. I haven't made it all 24 hours once yet lol

 I was approved for a book on netgalley called Pretty Evil New England. It is a book about female serial killers in the new England states of the USA.  I am done the first "story" not sure if that is the right word since this is a nonfiction/true crime book. I had heard about Jane Toppan before and her case usually interests me but for some reason this account was a little boring. It could be that I am reading this as part of a 24 hour readathon and have already been up for 18 hours at the time of finishing this account. I will read more of it tomorrow when I am more awake.
