Hi, everyone. Sorry it has been over a year since I have posted on here. I have been dealing with a lot of family and body issues. This month I decided to take part in Becca's Month Long Bookoplathon and actually right up all my rolls. There are two options on how to play the game. I decided to go with rolling as I go since I am slightly more of a mood reader who does better with prompts but doesn't like to have too many picked out before the readathon starts. I usually go with whatever prompt I want first and just chose a book to read for that one then go on. Anyway, here are my rolls for the month of September so far. After every roll from now on I will try edit this post with the new roll and after I finish a book. Roll 1:6 People on the Cover Book: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Pages: 309 Status: Read Rating: 5 stars Roll 2: 4 DOUBLE Dice Roulette; 1 and 1: Under 124 Pages Book: Solving Cold Cases 9 Pages: 85 Status: Read Rating: 2 stars Roll 3: 4 Published or...
I was given an EARC for this book and this is my honest review: This book was very compelling and fast paced. The short chapters were full of intrigue. I ended up staying up late to read it. Ended up reading all of this book in one sitting trying to figure out who was in the house. I thought I knew what was going on but the twists really got me. Solid 4 star read.
I finally finished the rest of the book and I have to say it didn't get much better. Not sure if this was because it was a review copy that I sent to my kindle and it wasn't formatted right or if it was the actually content of the book. I am leaning more towards it being because of the fact that I have never read an Arc before so I wasn't ready for the formatting to be off so much. I did like most of the content of this book. Out of the 5 segments I would have to say my least favorite was the first one and my favorite was the last one. All the ones in between were ok. I can say that the writer of this book Sue Coletta did do her research and even tho I have read up on all of these cases online and have seen true crime shows where they were featured there was some information in this book that I had never heard about before. That bumps up my star rating a little. All in all this book was pretty good and well written.
